ABOUT ME
My name is Michal Bradley and I am a sophmore at William Peace University in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am a psychology majour trying to pursue the my dream of becoming a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
I was born and raised in a quiet, little town Norfolk, England called Thetford. I moved to America when I was in grade five which was definitely a big transition in such a primary time of my life. As a child of military divorced parents, I did not have a secure household. The advantage of moving frequently is being exposed to many different people and culture.
Growing up in high school, I went through a lot of changes like any other teenager trying to find out who I am. Going from group to group I realized the things that I want to be apart of my life and things I don't. There I realized that is how life should be: you surround take in the things around you and filter through what upholds your beliefs, morals, and ethics.
I started a chapter called Active Minds which voices the conversation about mental illness among students. My motive is to get more people to be comfortable with the reality of having an illness and others accepting them without judgement. I also dance on the Prancing Pacers Dance Team in which we participate at basketball games, concerts, and events throughout our community.
I started doing photography my senior year of high school when I joined Yearbook. I fell in love with the art and memory that could be captured in a photo. Tat moment where someone says "Oh, I remeber this" is one of my favourite comments to hear. Life doesn't last forever, but memories do.
In my future, all I see is growth and prosperity in everything that I do. No matter what circumstances will come my way, I know that I will always come out on top with a new piece of my identity.
